Prior to 2018 they have installed and tuned High Horsepower LS engines paired with 4L80e and 6L80e transmissions into Jeep JK's using EFI Live and HP Tuners as well as experience with DSM vehicles utilizing AEM, Autronic, MoTeC and Haltech Systems. Overland Tailor Tuning brings over 20 years of combined experience in the tuning industry to the Toyota Platform, including working directly with HPTuners on the 2nd Gen Tacoma Platform.

What is VFTuner? (VFT)
• VF Tuner is a software (formerly Orange Virus) primarily utilized for all 3rd Gen Tacomas (2016+) and now (as of August 2022) select year 2nd Gen Tacomas, and 5th Gen 4Runners (2020+) are using the OTT on this platform. The software is used to flash your vehicle's ECU for enhanced performance.
What is HPTuner (HPT)?
• HPTuner is a software utilized to load the OTT for all supported Toyota models except the 3rd Gen Tacomas. The software is used to flash your vehicle’s ECU for enhanced performance.

Each vehicle is not like the other, even if they may have the same modifications. With HPTuners, each Calibration is built from the ground up and is custom. Along with naturally aspirated, we will also be tuning Supercharged applications as well. From Big Injectors to Larger Cam Profiles we can tune your truck to provide improved drivability. To date, no one has tuned more 1GR-FE engines with HPTuners than OTT. With over 300 unique and independent calibrations anything ranging from a “stock” truck to a bored/sleeved 4.3L stroker, ported heads, aftermarket camshafts, turbo chargers, etc.
Does my Engine/Trans ECU software need to be updated (Toyota Service Bulletin TSB)?
• Yes, your truck will need to have the latest Toyota ECU software and we will update it for free. No need to bribe the dealership.
What can be tuned on my vehicle?
• Tune for different fuel types (87, 91+ Octane)
• Tune for different tire sizes (Stock, 33", 35")
• Tune for different gearing ratios (Stock, 4.10, 4.30, 4.88, 5.29)

Is tuning detectable by the dealer?
• The tunes do not modify the OEM ID, which means it will always report back as "stock."
Will this void my warranty?
• Technically tuning your vehicle could potentially void your vehicle's warranty. We make no guarantees or promises that tuning will uphold your vehicle's warranty, HOWEVER many of our customers have had their trucks at their local dealership with no warranty problems or issues. Please use your best discretion when considering tuning your vehicle.
How long does it take?
• The Toyota TSB Updates (if applicable) can take up to 10 minutes
• The OTT flash takes a few minutes
• Test drive/ride along will take about 10 minutes
Can my vehicle be tuned back to stock?
• Yes, it can be returned to stock.
Will this work with Pedal Commander?
• You will no longer need a Pedal Commander throttle response is directly integrated into the tune itself.
